League of Legends (LoL) is a popular multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game with rich lore and a vast array of unique characters, known as “Champions.” These champions play the most integral part in League of Legends, and with them, you can only proceed the game further.
In LoL, each champion has a unique set of abilities and a distinct backstory.
So, in today’s blog post, I’m going to explore the lore and abilities of five legendary champions that are:

Viktor, The Machine Herald
As part of League of Legends, Viktor is known as the Machine Herald. He was born in Zaun and discovered a passion for invention and building from a young age. Victor is an idealist who strives to bring a new level of understanding to the people of Zaun.
In his opinion, humanity’s maximum potential can only be realized through embracing a glorious evolution of technology.
Viktor’s Unique Powers
Viktor’s abilities augment his basic attacks and deal magic damage. His unique powers include:
- Glorious Evolution (Innate): Viktor can augment each of his basic abilities at the cost of 100 Hex Fragments, which he gains from killing enemies.
- Siphon Power: Viktor throws a device at the target enemy that deals magic damage. He also grants himself a shield for 2.5 seconds and gains Discharge for 3.5 seconds.
- Discharge: Viktor’s next basic attack is empowered to become non-projectile and deal modified magic damage.

Ezreal, The Prodigal Explorer
Ezreal is the Prodigal Explorer in League of Legends. He is a rakish adventurer who happens to be gifted with the art of magic, and he navigates the labyrinth of his past, encountering ancient curses.
It is impossible for Ezrael to contain his recklessness and impetuosity, and he tends to blow every idea he comes across to the wind.
Ezreal’s Unique Powers
Here are some details about Ezreal’s abilities:
- Passive Rising Spell Force: Ezreal gains increasing Attack Speed each time he successfully hits a spell, stacking up to 5 times.
- Mystic Shot: Ezreal fires a bolt of energy in the target direction that deals physical damage to the first enemy hit and applies on-hit and on-attack effects at 100% effectiveness. If Mystic Shot successfully hits an enemy, the current cooldowns of Ezreal’s abilities, including Mystic Shot’s, are reduced.

Briar, The Restrained Hunger
Briar, also known as the Restrained Hunger, is a champion in the game League of Legends. She is a living weapon who heals from her bleed damage and lacks Health Regeneration. A failed experiment by the Black Rose, Briar’s uncontrollable bloodlust required a special pillory to focus her frenzied mind.
After years of confinement, this living weapon broke free from her restraints and unleashed herself into the world.
Briar’s Unique Powers
Here are some details about Briar’s abilities:
- Passive Crimson Curse: Briar’s basic attacks and abilities inflict a bleed against enemies for 5 seconds, refreshing on subsequent applications, stacking up to 9 times, and dealing 25% damage for stacks beyond the first. The bleed deals physical damage over the duration, which is increased for each subsequent stack. Briar heals herself equal to 25% of the pre-mitigation damage dealt.
If a target dies while bleeding, she will heal herself, equal to 125% of the remaining bleeding damage. Briar has no base health regen. But, she boosts healing from all sources based on missing health.
- Head Rush: Briar leaps to the target unit. If the target is an enemy, she deals magic damage, applies on-hit and on-attack effects, stuns them for a short duration, and reduces their armor and magic resistance for 5 seconds. Head Rush resets Briar’s basic attack timer.

Jinx, The Loose Cannon
Jinx, whose other name is Loose Cannon, is a champion in League of Legends. She is a hot-tempered and reckless criminal born in Zaun who wants to screw up everything without realizing what that would entail.
Bringing the most devastating weapons, Jinx puts out the loudest shocks and the most brilliant flashes to crush everything underfoot and make a mess.
Jinx’s Unique Powers
Here are some details about Jinx’s abilities:
- Passive Get Excited: Jinx receives massively increased Move Speed and Attack Speed whenever she helps kill or destroy an enemy champion epic jungle monster, or structure.
- Mystic Shot: Jinx fires a bolt of energy in the target direction that deals physical damage to the first enemy hit and applies on-hit and on-attack effects at 100% effectiveness. If Mystic Shot successfully hits an enemy, the current cooldowns of Jinx’s abilities, including Mystic Shot’s, are reduced.

Vi, The Piltover Enforcer
Vi, also known as the Piltover Enforcer, is a champion in the League of Legends game. She is an impulsive, cordial, and reckless woman without any significant sense of authority. Being all but a loner, Vi has sharp survival instincts and a razor-sharp sense of humor.
Nowadays, working with the Wardens to maintain order in Piltover, her imposing hex-tech gauntlets can make quick work of walls and possibly suspicious individuals as well.
Vi’s Unique Powers
Here are some details about Vi’s abilities:
- Passive Blast Shield: Vi charges a shield over time. Hitting an enemy with an ability can activate the shield.
- Head Rush: Vi leaps to the target unit. If the target is an enemy, she deals magic damage, applies on-hit and on-attack effects, stuns them for a short duration, and reduces their armor and magic resistance for 5 seconds. Head Rush resets Vi’s basic attack timer.
